Scott Davis is the GM/Head Golf Professional
Scott grew up in Pleasant City, Ohio where he learned the game of golf from his brother who was also a pro. Scott moved to Indiana after graduating from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Scott met his wife Leslie at Harding University and they have two children, Abby and Austin. Scott started as an Assistant Golf Professional in 1996 at Ulen Country Club. Scott also worked at Sahm GC, Plum Creek GC, and Purgatory GC while completing his apprenticeship with the PGA of America. Scott was elected membership into the PGA in 2001 and started as a Head Golf Professional at The Players Club in Muncie that same year. Scott has also worked as Head Golf Professional at Dykeman Park GC, Anderson CC, GCI, and Edgewood GC. Scott has worked in golf for a total of 24 years, 4 on the grounds crew and 20 as a Professional. Scott is dedicated to growing the game of golf and will work diligently to grow the game at Smock Golf Course.
Thad Jones is the Director of Instruction
Thad Jones is a PGA professional with 24 years of teaching experience in the golf business. Originally from Windfall, Indiana, he has served as head professional and director of instruction in Indiana and Florida and has taught college golf classes at DePauw University. He played on a nationally-ranked college team and has taught Division 1,2, and 3 players. Having given thousands of lessons to seasoned players, beginners, and juniors, he is a non-method-based instructor who provides individualized lessons with goal-reaching quick results. His daughter Kate and son Jeremy play on the golf teams for Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
